Frequently asked questions.
Membership & plans
Is CK Club a website subscription?+
Yes. Members join the club for a professionally designed website with no upfront design fee. Every plan includes design, hosting, SSL, maintenance, security updates, support and monthly design credits.
Is hosting really included?+
Yes — every plan includes fast managed hosting, a free SSL certificate, daily backups, plugin/theme updates and security monitoring. There's no separate hosting bill from us.
Why no upfront design fee?+
Traditional agencies charge £3,000–£10,000 upfront. We've turned that into an affordable monthly fee so you can launch a professional site without a large cash outlay.
What platforms do you build on?+
Standard sites are built on WordPress. Professional adds Webflow as an option. VIP Pro adds custom Next.js / headless builds. We recommend the right stack during onboarding.
How many pages does each plan include?+
Standard = 5, Professional = 10, VIP Pro = 20. Need more? Ask us about a Scale plan.
Do you offer annual discounts?+
Yes — save around 20% when you pay annually. Toggle monthly / annual on the pricing page or in the upgrade modal.
Can I change plans?+
Anytime from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades apply on your next billing cycle.
Is there a minimum contract?+
No on monthly billing — cancel anytime. Annual plans run for 12 months and save ~20%.
Do you include premium software and plugins?+
Yes — every plan includes the premium tools, themes and plugins we standardise on, saving members £300–£800+ per year they'd otherwise pay in individual licences.
Credits, top-ups & add-ons
What can I use design credits for?+
Anything ongoing: website edits, new pages, landing pages, social graphics, brochures, logos, SEO tasks and WordPress support. Every service has a fixed credit price in the catalogue at /dashboard/services.
What's the turnaround on credit tasks?+
Most small tasks ship in 24–48h on Standard and Professional. VIP Pro members get faster queue priority (~24h on most tasks). Larger work is scoped on submission.
What happens to unused credits?+
They roll over for 60 days. After that, expired credits are removed — you can pause your subscription for a quiet month if needed.
What if I run out of credits mid-month?+
Buy a one-off top-up pack from /dashboard/credits, upgrade your plan instantly, or queue the request for next month.
Do top-up credits expire?+
They follow the same 60-day roll-over as your monthly allocation.
What are add-on subscriptions?+
Recurring services (e.g. ongoing SEO, monthly content, extra maintenance) that attach to your main plan and renew on the same cycle. Manage them at /dashboard/subscriptions.
Do I need an active plan to submit a request?+
Yes — the request queue and add-on activation are gated server-side to active or trialing paid subscribers. If your subscription lapses, the queue is disabled until it's reactivated.
Community
Who can access the members' community?+
Any active paying member. Free/expired accounts see a preview and upgrade options. Admins moderate content across the community.
What's in the community?+
Peer feedback on your site, monthly live Q&As, playbooks, templates, priority answers from the CK team and early access to new services.
Can I post anonymously?+
No — posts are attributed to your member profile so the community stays constructive and spam-free.
How is moderation handled?+
Admins can pin, lock or delete threads and replies, and can suspend accounts that break the community rules or terms.
Rewards, referrals & loyalty
How do referral credits work?+
Every member gets a unique referral link at /dashboard/rewards. When someone signs up through it and becomes an active paying subscriber, you earn credits automatically. Credits are only awarded once real payment clears — self-referrals and throwaway accounts are blocked.
What loyalty milestones can I earn?+
Bronze (+1 credit) at 3 paid months, Silver (+2) at 6, Gold (+3) at 12. Each milestone awards once per account, automatically on a qualifying renewal.
Why aren't credits given out for signups alone?+
To keep the programme fair and genuinely valued we only reward real, paid conversions — not clicks or free signups.
Payments, refunds & failed billing
How are payments processed?+
Stripe, in a secure pop-up checkout. We never see or store your full card details. You receive an emailed receipt for every payment.
Do you offer refunds?+
Subscription fees aren't refundable once a month has been billed, but you can cancel anytime before the next renewal. If a piece of work isn't right, we redo it until it is.
What happens if my payment fails?+
We retry automatically and email you straight away. You have a 7–10 day grace period to update your payment method; your site stays live throughout the grace window.
What happens if I don't pay within the grace period?+
If the account is still unpaid, we may suspend hosting, the request queue and community access until the balance is cleared. Extended non-payment can lead to the site being retired in line with our cancellation policy.
Account & security
I forgot my password — what do I do?+
Click 'Forgot password' on the sign-in page. We'll email a secure reset link; open it and set a new password. Reset requests are rate-limited to protect your account.
How do you protect my account?+
Sign-in and password reset are rate-limited and audit-logged. Every database table uses Row Level Security, and admin actions are gated by a server-verified role — not client-side flags.
Where do I manage my profile and preferences?+
At /dashboard/account — update your name, email, avatar and communication preferences.
What emails will I receive?+
Transactional only by default: welcome, receipts, credit updates, renewal reminders, failed-payment notices, password resets and onboarding. Marketing emails require a separate opt-in.
Cancellation, ownership & data
What happens to my website if I cancel?+
Your live site goes offline when your subscription ends. If you want to keep the site running elsewhere, a one-off export & buyout is available — full details on the Cancellation & Buyout page.
Do I own the design work?+
All design files and creative produced via credits are yours — we hand over editable Figma, AI or PSD source files on request. The live site is hosted with us as part of your membership.
Can I export or delete my data?+
Yes. Email hello@creative-kay.com for access, export or deletion under UK GDPR — see the Privacy Policy for details.
