Questions & Answers

Everything people ask about CK Club — credits, websites, e-commerce, SEO, video, turnaround, billing and the community. Can't find it? Ask in the forum.

Getting started

How CK Club works, who it's for and what happens on day one.

What exactly is CK Club?
CK Club is a monthly membership that replaces the traditional design agency. Instead of quotes and invoices for every job, you pay a flat monthly fee, receive design credits, and spend those credits on any service in our catalogue — websites, e-commerce stores, graphic design, SEO, content writing, videography, WordPress support and more.
Who is CK Club for?
Small businesses, founders, freelancers, e-commerce sellers, tradespeople, coaches and creators who need ongoing professional design work but can't justify agency retainers of £2,000+ a month. If you need a steady trickle of design and web work rather than one huge project, the membership model saves you the most.
How do I get started?
Create a free account, browse the community for free, then choose a plan on the pricing page. Credits land in your wallet immediately after checkout. From your dashboard you submit your first request, we confirm scope and turnaround, and work begins — usually the same or next working day.
Do I need any technical knowledge?
No. You describe what you want in plain English (or send a screenshot, a scribble or a link to a site you like). We handle the design, build, hosting setup, plugins and technical configuration.
Can I try it before committing?
Yes. Reading the community and forum is completely free, and the free tier lets you see how we work, browse member showcases and ask questions before you spend anything.

Credits & pricing

What a credit is worth, how they're spent and how the maths compares to an agency.

What is a credit worth?
One credit is roughly 30 minutes of professional studio time — work an agency would typically bill at around £25. Depending on your plan you pay between £3.28 and £6.60 per credit, so you're getting a 4x to 7x saving on standard agency rates.
How do I know how many credits a job costs?
Every service in the catalogue has a fixed, published credit price — no estimates, no scope creep, no surprise invoices. You see the exact cost before you confirm the request, and the amount is deducted from your wallet when work starts.
What happens to unused credits?
Credits roll over for the rollover window shown on your plan, so a quiet month isn't wasted. If you cancel, you keep any credits already in your wallet until they expire — but no refunds are issued on payments already taken.
Can I buy extra credits?
Yes. Top-up packs of 6, 14 and 27 credits are available from your dashboard at any time. Plan credits are always the better rate, so heavy months are usually cheaper handled by upgrading rather than topping up repeatedly.
Is annual billing cheaper?
Yes — switching the toggle to annual on the pricing page applies a discount versus paying monthly, and your credits are issued on the same monthly schedule.
Why is this cheaper than an agency?
Agencies price per project with sales, account management and overhead baked in. We price per credit against a shared studio calendar, which removes the quoting cycle entirely. You also inherit our premium software, tools and plugin licences as standard — worth £300–£800+ a year on its own.

Websites & e-commerce

Builds, migrations, stores, WordPress and ongoing site care.

Can you build me a complete website?
Yes. Full multi-page websites are part of the catalogue, priced in credits per page or as a complete build. That includes design, responsive layout for phones and tablets, contact forms, basic on-page SEO, analytics and launch.
Do you build online shops and drop-shipping stores?
Yes — e-commerce and drop-shipping store design are dedicated services. We handle product templates, cart and checkout flow, payment setup, shipping rules and supplier-feed integration for drop-ship models.
Do you work with WordPress?
Yes, WordPress design, theme customisation, plugin work, speed optimisation, security hardening and ongoing maintenance are all available as credit-priced services.
Who owns the website when it's finished?
You do. Everything we build for you — files, designs, content and accounts — belongs to your business. Nothing is held hostage if you leave.
What about premium plugins and software?
Included as standard. We build using premium themes, page builders, SEO suites, image and video software and paid plugins under our studio licences, so you don't pay for them separately.
Can you fix or improve a website I already have?
Absolutely. Redesigns, rescues of half-finished builds, speed and mobile fixes, and small ongoing tweaks are some of the most common ways members spend credits.
Do you provide hosting and domains?
We set up and configure hosting and domains for you and can recommend the right provider for your budget. The hosting bill itself stays in your name so you always keep control.

Graphic design, content & video

Branding, social assets, copywriting, filming and editing.

What graphic design work can I request?
Logos and brand marks, brand guidelines, social media templates, adverts, brochures, menus, flyers, packaging, presentation decks, signage artwork and vehicle graphics.
Do you write content as well as design?
Yes. Content writing covers website copy, landing pages, service pages, product descriptions, blog articles and long-form guides — all written for humans first and search engines second.
What does the videography service include?
On-location filming at a place of your choice, plus full editing. Filming is priced per day in credits, with separate credit prices for editing, drone work and short-form social cuts.
How many revisions do I get?
Reasonable revision rounds are built into each service so you're not charged for normal back-and-forth. Genuinely new directions or extra deliverables are a new request with their own credit price, which keeps things fair on both sides.
What file formats do I receive?
Print-ready and web-optimised versions as standard — typically PDF, PNG, JPG and SVG for design, and MP4 in the aspect ratios you need for video. Source files are available on request.

SEO & getting found

Search visibility, technical SEO and long-term growth.

Do you do SEO?
Yes. Keyword research, on-page optimisation, technical SEO fixes, metadata, structured data, internal linking, sitemap and robots configuration, and Google Business Profile setup are all credit-priced services.
Are the websites you build SEO friendly by default?
Yes. Every build ships with unique page titles and descriptions, clean semantic HTML, fast mobile-first performance, image alt text, canonical tags, structured data where relevant, and an automatically maintained sitemap.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical fixes can show up in weeks; competitive rankings usually take several months of consistent content and links. Anyone promising page one in days is selling you something else.
Can you help with blogging and ongoing content?
Yes — regular articles are one of the most reliable ways to grow search traffic, and members often set aside a few credits each month for a post or two.

Requests, turnaround & working with us

How jobs move from your dashboard to delivered work.

How do I submit a request?
From your dashboard choose New request, pick the service, describe what you need, attach files or links, and confirm the credit cost. You'll see the request status update as it moves through the queue.
How fast is turnaround?
Each service shows its own turnaround in the catalogue. Small jobs are typically 1–2 working days; larger builds run to a scheduled timeline agreed with you up front. Higher plans get priority in the queue.
How many requests can I have open at once?
Each plan has an active request limit, shown on the pricing page. Requests are worked through in order, and as one completes the next begins.
Can I talk to a real person?
Yes. Every request has a thread for questions and feedback, and higher plans include faster, more direct support. You're dealing with the studio, not a ticket-deflection bot.
What if I'm not happy with the work?
Tell us in the request thread. Revisions within the agreed scope are included, and we'd far rather fix it than have you sit on something you don't like.

Community, forum & courses

What's free, what's members-only and how the forum works.

Is the community free?
Reading is free for everyone — the forum, Q&A, showcase and member directory are all open. Posting, replying, reacting and the members-only areas are unlocked on paid plans.
What's in the forum?
Sub-forums for general chat, design critique, tech help, SEO, e-commerce, business and off-topic. Threads support replies, quoting, reactions, marking a best answer, pinning and unread tracking, plus an RSS feed.
Can I show off my own work?
Yes — the Showcase is for member projects. Post a build, ask for feedback, and get honest critique from other people who actually ship work.
What are the courses?
The Academy holds practical lessons on design, web, marketing and running a creative business. Beginner material is widely available and intermediate and advanced tracks unlock with higher plans.
Are there rewards for taking part?
Yes. Genuine referrals and long-term membership earn small credit rewards through the loyalty programme — designed to thank real advocates rather than reward spam.

Billing, cancellation & security

Payments, cancelling, data and account safety.

How do I pay?
Securely by card through Stripe. Card details never touch our servers — checkout runs entirely on Stripe's hosted, PCI-compliant infrastructure.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your billing page in a couple of clicks — no notice period, no cancellation call, no retention maze. You keep the credits already in your wallet, and no refunds are issued on payments already taken.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, upgrade or downgrade whenever you like. Upgrades take effect immediately with the new credit allowance; downgrades apply from your next billing date.
Is my data safe?
Accounts are protected with strong security headers, rate limiting, audit logging of account-security events, optional two-factor authentication, and leaked-password checks that block known-compromised passwords.
Will my prices go up?
Existing members keep the plan price they signed up on for as long as the subscription stays active. If catalogue pricing changes, you'll be told in advance.
